Dorothea Wierer
Dorothea Wierer competes for the Italian Winter Sports Federation FISI and won a bronze medal in the mixed relay at the Winter Olympics in Sochi and Pyeongchang and another in the sprint in Beijing. At the 2019 World Championships, she was the first Italian woman to become world champion in the biathlon. She also won the overall World Cup in 2018/19 and defended this title in the 2019/20 World Cup. Her success has made her one of Italy's most popular athletes. She is known for her radiant smile, her great personality and her love of good food.
Away from winter sports, Dorothea works for the financial police. In her private life, Dorothea Wierer also values an environment in which she feels comfortable. Wooden floors are really my favourite. They are cosy and make me feel good. When I spend time at home, I like to lie on the floor and just relax.
