Elias Seidl
Elias has been part of the JOKA team since the 2021/22 season and can already look back on successes at youth level. At the Youth and Junior World Championships, he won silver with the mixed and youth relay teams. In the 2023/24 season, he took first place in the overall standings of the German Junior Cup and celebrated his first participation in the IBU Cup. Last season, he won the title of European Junior Vice Champion in the sprint and the silver medal with the relay team at the Junior World Championships. Parallel to his competitive sport, Elias is training with the German Federal Police. His mother is the well-known former biathlete and Olympic champion Martina Seidl (née Zellner).

How did you get into biathlon?
Through a taster session in Ruhpolding, before that I did cross-country skiing and Nordic combined

Favourite sport right after biathlon and why?
Climbing, for me it's a cool balance to everyday training and you spend a nice time with friends.
What does nature mean to you?
Freedom, peace and relaxation
