Denise Herrmann-Wick
Denise was a permanent member of the German biathlon team for many years and continues to work as a brand ambassador for JOKA even after the end of her career. Born in Saxony, Denise was already a successful cross-country skier before switching to biathlon: in 2014, she won the bronze medal with the cross-country relay team at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
As a biathlete, she then won gold in the individual event at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing and became world champion in the sprint at her home World Championships in Oberhof in 2023. Together with her husband Thomas Wick, also a JOKA brand ambassador, she recently built a house in her adopted home of Ruhpolding - equipped with JOKA products, of course. This winter she will also be appearing on TV as a biathlon expert.
3 questions for Denise
What is your favourite JOKA product and why?
Our real wood flooring. Since we've been in the new house, I've almost only walked barefoot and I love feeling the floor.
Why do you like working with the JOKA brand?
We share a common love of nature and natural products. Thanks to the family-run company, there is always absolute reliability and a very familiar atmosphere.
Do you have certain rituals or habits before a competition?
I always listen to my hit playlist "Steil ist geil".
