Selina Grotian
Selina held a biathlon air rifle in her hand for the first time at the age of 8. The sport fascinated her right from the start. In 2021, she had her first taste of international competition at the Youth World Championships and immediately secured a bronze medal. In the 2022/2023 season, she not only made her debut in the IBU Cup, but also skated her first World Cup race at the end of the season at the age of just 18. She skated to her first individual World Cup victory the following season and ultimately finished last season in the top 10 in the overall World Cup.

How did you get into biathlon?
...through my brothers, who have always been role models for me.
What makes a house or flat a home for you?
For me, a home is a place where my family and friends are and which gives me a feeling of peace, security, warmth and freedom. Wood and warm materials in particular create an indoor climate with a special atmosphere.
For me, a home is created through warmth, small personal details and the feeling of being able to switch off completely. A place where I can really be myself.
What motivates you?
... to keep improving my performance with the big goal that every athlete has: the Olympics - and maybe even a medal.
